On the bus
Berlin is raining these 2 days- Yesterday afternoon after uni, I went to the bus station. It is raining very heavily. With or without the umbrella, it´s all the same, you will get very wet.
At the bus station, there are about more than 30 people waiting for BUS 245. The bus delayed about 10 minutes because of the rain. When it came, I was so excited—finally!
There were already many people on the bus. I don´t like to push in, so I just wait and be the last one to go on the bus. However, it was not a wise choice. I could hardly get on the bus, but somehow I managed to do it. The bus was totally packed.
A warning honk occurred.
Some people have to go down. But nobody moved. Like everybody pretended not have heard of that sound.
People were getting anxious. If no one got out, the bus would not go.
Awkward Situation.
Just like a group of people on a sinking boat. Someone has to sacrifice so that others survive. But question is, who is SOMEONE?
Having received all the gazes, some people near the door went out. Everybody relieved.
Who had received more gazes? The baby carriage. It took the place of at least 5 people.
Next Station: Some people tried to come in. The man at the door stopped them pretty rudely, almost with a tone of warning.
People outside tried to get in. People inside tried to stop them.
We all have our own benefits to protect.
The people, who seem to be so gentle and polite in sunny time, turn to another type of being in rainy time.
The situation changes the human being.
That makes me reflect on the Nazi-Time, where people must adapt to that kind of situation in order to preserve themselves.
Duty
I consider duty another thing that works against human nature.
We supposed to be kind with our own species.
But when someone is put in a position, like a police. Even if you know the man is innocent, but your chef tells you to execute him, you have to do it because that is your duty.
It´s not your fault because you are just doing your duty, trying to make your best of it.
In this sense, you can be a morally bad person, at the same time a conscientious employee.
Duty put us on the different position to make the society work good, but it also more or less alienates human from human.
So can I say that when we live in a society so that we are bound to be alienated and somehow cold to each other?
