Experiencing Rejection Day 1

Today I decided to try out the game that I mentioned in the last post(Rejection Therapy).
1.Falkenbrot I read this word in the subway and cannot find it in the dictionary. So I decided to ask random people on the street. First I asked an old man, he was quite skeptical and told me he didn't know this word. The second time I asked a student and he told me it is a long bread. I said Danke to him and it was fun. 2.Asking at the counter At Rewe and Adidas counter I asked them to give me coupons. It's not that embarrassing as I thought it would be. Although they didn't give me. I asked the Rewe guy how I can download music here too, but he didn't tell me. I'm not sure he really doesn't know or just to get rid of me.Also at Rossmann, I took a picture of the counter because Alipay can be used now. It was actually a weird action but why not. This is kind of like a milestone event. 3.Marketing our events and looking for volunteers I walked to groups by a table in Uni-Cafe. Tried twice. First time 4 people, then 3 people. It is weird because when I started to introduce the event, they just started to shake heads. I guess my tone was a bit quick, so it sounds like I was promoting something. I was rejected twice and I tried to convince them. But I admit that I didn't try that hard.
So it's today's experience. It was not that bad. The results are neutral. Of course, my asks are all quite reasonable. They didn't cross the line(depends on the definition of „line“). I felt myself a bit braver today. This is hard for me but I felt happy. And it's good for my German!
Keep on doing :)
